Publishes but doesn't respond to requests

Dec 14, 2009 at 3:56 AM

Could you please explain to me what the purpose of this is?

Publish();
Thread.Sleep(360000);
s.Stop();

I publish my service information once on the local subnet then freeze for sometime then stop?

How would I make it so that I also RESPOND to service requests. I.e. I have a bonjour browser that broadcasts on the network asking for what services exist. All the services respond except the one published by this library. How can I have it so that I respond to queries?

I would very much appreciate it if you could update your documentation so that other users can benefit.

thanks in advance,

Jubei

I've been browsing your code and noticed that the publish method creates a new instance of the mdns server which supposedly fires up an event when a message is received and sends back a message. However in the message handling function of the BonjourService.cs you have a line commented out. A send function:

Could that be an issue or is that irrelevant?

Hi Jubei,

Indeed, this is an issue. I am going to change it.

Neonp,

Thank you for your hard work. When should we expect a corrected release?
